Jack McKenna

Jack is a Linklater's Legal Fellow at JUSTICE, developing JUSTICE North's proposals for devolution and dedicated regional justice policy focused on the North of England.

During Jack's previous career as a political adviser, he worked as a speechwriter, researcher and media adviser before serving as Head of Communications to Angela Rayner. Whilst working in politics Jack advocated for victims of the Windrush scandal and developed Labour's proposals for employment rights reform, subsequently passed in the Employment Rights Act. He has a particular interest in public law, inquiries and employment law and volunteers as a tribunal advocate at the Free Representation Unit and a legal volunteer at United Voices of the World trade union, representing people who are unable to afford legal advice.

Jack studied History and Politics at the University of Oxford, and recently completed a postgraduate law degree at the University of Law as a career change scholar. Jack was awarded a Major Scholarship by Inner Temple and the City Law School Scholarship for Academic Excellence in support of his legal studies.
