JUSTICE relies on the support and assistance provided by volunteers and interns. We have an established internship programme, taking place in the Summer and Winter each year. We welcome applications from volunteers at any time. Internships
at JUSTICE Interns undertake
in-depth legal research in a particular area of JUSTICE's work. For this
reason we are now seeking applications from law graduates only.
This includes people who expect to have completed a law degree or conversion
course by the time they start their internship. JUSTICE interns gain the opportunity to develop skills and experience of working on important areas of legal policy at a national level as well as the chance to be part of a small, friendly and committed staff. Interns may also be required to undertake some administrative work. Our summer internship
programme runs between June and September. Successful applicants must
commit to working for a minimum of 4 days per week, between 10am - 5pm
for at least one month. To
become an intern JUSTICE's internship
programme is governed by equal opportunities principles. All appointees
are interviewed and references taken up. The closing date for
applications is mid May. Short-listing for interviews takes place in May
each year. Short-listed candidates will be invited for interview in late
May. Winter
intern applications We will not be
running the winter internship in January 2008. All expenses incurred by volunteers while working at JUSTICE are refunded. This covers the cost of travel expenses within London, £3.00 per day for lunch, plus approved incidental expenses. JUSTICE's volunteer programme is governed by equal opportunities principles. All appointees are interviewed and references taken up. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please send us a copy of your CV with a covering letter indicating your reasons for wanting voluntary work, your experience and skills, and your availability. Should there be a
vacancy we will contact you to arrange an initial meeting. We will keep
your details on file for a maximum of 12 months. Such positions do arise
very infrequently. Paid
