JUSTICE relies on the support and assistance provided by volunteers and interns. We have an established internship programme, taking place in the Summer and Winter each year. We welcome applications from volunteers at any time.

Internships at JUSTICE
We offer at least two places each year on our summer internship programme.

Interns undertake in-depth legal research in a particular area of JUSTICE's work. For this reason we are now seeking applications from law graduates only. This includes people who expect to have completed a law degree or conversion course by the time they start their internship.

JUSTICE interns gain the opportunity to develop skills and experience of working on important areas of legal policy at a national level as well as the chance to be part of a small, friendly and committed staff. Interns may also be required to undertake some administrative work.

Our summer internship programme runs between June and September. Successful applicants must commit to working for a minimum of 4 days per week, between 10am - 5pm for at least one month.

Expenses incurred by interns while working at JUSTICE are refunded. This covers the cost of travel expenses within London, £3.00 per day for lunch, plus approved incidental expenses.

To become an intern
To be considered for a summer internship please send us a copy of your CV with a covering letter indicating your experience, skills and availability and your reasons for wanting this work.

JUSTICE's internship programme is governed by equal opportunities principles. All appointees are interviewed and references taken up.

The closing date for applications is mid May. Short-listing for interviews takes place in May each year. Short-listed candidates will be invited for interview in late May.

The deadline for the summer 2008 programme has closed.

Winter intern applications
In addition to its established summer intern programme, JUSTICE normally invites applications for a winter policy internship for a five week period from mid January to the end of February.

We will not be running the winter internship in January 2008.
